Quotes From Romeo & Juliet.

The quote "My only love sprung from my only hate" which is said my Juliet has a deep meaning to it. In my opinion, i think the quote is portraying that Juliet did not mean to fall in love with Romeo due to the fact that he is the son of the Montague's which they are against. Romeo is portrayed as being in the right place at the right time during the party at Juliet's. Juliet's love for him had blossomed into something more and she did not realize that she was actually falling in love with the man that her parents would never approve of her being with.
The second quote that i had found was " Did my heart love till now? For swear it, sight! For i ne'er saw true beauty till this night" which is said by Romeo. In my opinion, this quote is portraying the love Romeo had felt when he first met Juliet.

Juliet's Death

In my opinion, the person who was responsible for Juliet's death were the people around her who didn't approve of the lifestyle she had wanted. Those people consisted of mostly her whole family. Anyone in her family who hated the Montague family. Due to this issue, Juliet had to hide her relationship and further more, her marriage with Romeo. There came one particular scene in the story where Juliet had seemed to had enough of the trouble's her father had given her. Her father was forcing her to marry a man who she barely knew and was forced to love. Before this wedding could actually happen, Juliet had already drank the poison and died. Upon her funeral, Romeo's friend had found out about the funeral and immediently informed Romeo of what had happened to his beloved Juliet. Romeo could not believe the news and had to go see Juliet right away. Romeo also thought of a better way that he and Juliet could be together forever. He bought a cup of poison and also decided to end his life. Little did he know that when he came to visit Juliet at the church, he would find her all well and alive in a couple of minutes. However, he did not realize this until he had already drank the poison. It was already too late and Juliet could no longer do anything about it. Trying to accept Romeo's fate, Juliet then takes a gun and shoots herself knowing that it would be the only solution for them to be together. In conclusion, Romeo and Juliet both die knowing that both their families would never accept or allow them to be together.

Gender Stereotyping

Throughout the story we come across many gender stereotyping between the characters. However, one particular scene in the story caught my eye about how they were addressing gender stereotypes. I had seen this conflict in act one, scene one of the story. The two servants of the house of Capulet who were Sampson and Gregory were strolling through the streets of Verona when the discussion of Sampson’s hatred towards the house of Montague arose. The two then realized that two Montague servants were approaching. Gregory then comes up with an idea and informs Sampson about it. They find a way to provoke them into a fight without trying to break the law. Sampson bites his thumb at the Montague’s maids and at the time, this gesture was considered an insult towards the females. In my opinion, the men in this story have a habit of always mistreating the women. The men often think that they are the man of the house which leads to them thinking that they are stronger than the women. To them, they over power the women around them. However, in the society that we live in today, this particular stereotype is still circulating around many men and women. The men still often think that they are the stronger ones out of us women. And also some women do depend on their spouses to take charge when they’re not able to. But nowadays, in my opinion men and women are both equal throughout the challenges that they face.

A Leap Of Fate

The role of fate in romantic relationships usually consist of the meaning “to be destined to happen.” Not all romantic relationships may last very long but therefore, this meaning may not be true to everyone. In my opinion, it takes some time in order to find out who is really destined to be with you. We all have that one person who is meant to be with us, but then again, a certain question always pops up in our heads and asks “When will that be?” No one knows for sure, but all we need to do is give it time, no rush or anything. The role of fate in romantic relationships can be compared to things such as, people itself, TV shows, movies, and even novels. One particular movie that had caught my eye on this topic had been “Titanic”. I’m sure we’ve all watched it and could deeply relate to the love story that Jack and Rose had. While aboard on the ship Titanic, Rose was already engaged to her fiancĂ© Cal. However, one day Rose met Jack who was a drifter and an artist. The two slowly became closer and soon enough it blossomed into love. Rose’s family had forbidden they’re love due to the fact that Jack was a lower class person unlike them who were higher class people. That did not stop Rose and Jack however, they lived out they’re days together until they’re love had shattered due to the sinking of the ship. In my opinion, I really do think that Jack and Rose were the two who were meant to be for one another. They prevailed they’re love even though people had forbidden them to. They stood up for what was right and they did not care what people had to say about it.
